Why these books exist and the heart behind every page.
I’ve spent the better part of my adult life doing one thing: going where God sends me. From the crowded streets of India to the mountains of Nepal. From Cuba to Africa to Asia. As a Seventh-day Adventist missionary, church elder, and father, I’ve seen firsthand what happens when children encounter the Word of God for the first time.
“I wanted to create the Bible storybook I wished my son Noah could grow up with — one where the characters look like the people of the ancient Middle East, where the art is breathtaking enough to stop a child mid-scroll, and where the theology doesn’t cut corners.”
YOUTH ARISE was born in a small room in Harrisonburg, Virginia, where I sat down and asked myself: What if children’s Bible stories could be told with the same cinematic beauty as the movies they watch — but with the depth and reverence of serious Scripture study?
The result is a series that treats young readers as real seekers of truth. No watered-down theology. No cartoon characters. No shortcuts. Just the Word of God, told with the beauty it deserves.
Premium faith-based children’s literature that honors God and inspires young readers.
Ink and Purpose Studios is a publishing house built on a single conviction: that the stories of Scripture deserve to be told with the highest craft and the deepest respect. We believe every child deserves Bible stories that are beautiful enough to hang on a wall, deep enough to spark real conversation, and faithful enough to trust for a lifetime.
Our work is grounded in the Seventh-day Adventist tradition — emphasizing the Sabbath as God’s gift of rest, the Great Controversy between good and evil as the lens through which all of history makes sense, and the blessed hope of Christ’s soon return as the promise that anchors every story we tell.
We are not a factory. Every illustration is crafted to be cinematic and historically faithful. Every story is written at a grade 4–5 reading level with discussion questions, memory verses, and prayers designed for family worship, Sabbath school, and homeschool settings.
YOUTH ARISE is a three-volume journey through the entire Bible — from Creation to Revelation. When complete, the series will contain over sixty stories, each with a breathtaking illustration, each faithful to the text, each designed to stay with a child for the rest of their life.
We are translating the series into ten languages so that children around the world — in Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe, and beyond — can encounter these stories in their own language and see themselves reflected in the characters of Scripture.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
